You ll need to crawl to the end of the eave and staple the baffle against the roof deck. Hold a baffle against the underside of the roof deck between a pair of trusses that border a soffit vent. The panels can cover up to a 22 in. Rafter vents should be placed in your attic ceiling in between the rafters at the point where your attic ceiling meets your attic floor.

The kit takes less than an hour to install. The baffle may then be stapled to the truss to hold them in place. Staple each side to the roof deck spaced about every 4 inches. You will need a baffle for each space between the rafters.

Fit each one snuggly in the bay with the bottom starting where the ceiling joist meets the roof rafter. Install attic baffles if the attic doesn t have attic baffles let s install them. Rafter vents come in 4 foot lengths and 14 1 2 and 22 1 2 inch widths for different rafter spacings. To install the rafter vents staple them directly to the roof decking.

Pull any existing insulation away from the edges of the attic where you will be putting up the baffles. The outside edge of the baffle should be parallel to the exterior wall sheathing.
